Initially connecting to a Wi-Fi network
To connect the SiCAMcom device to a wifi network...
- Switch on the Si-CAM device.
- Access the wifi network on your preferred device (Windows, MAC, Android or iOS) and select the "Si-CAMcom_AP" access point (it could take about 20 seconds to appear). View examples: Windows, MAC (add image), Android or iOS (add image)
- Enter the Si-CAMcom_AP password (originally provided with the device) and activate it. If Si-CAMcom_AP does not connect successfully, re-enter the correct password - then proceed to the next step. View examples: Windows (add image), MAC (add image), Android (add image) or iOS (add image)
- If Si-CAMcom_AP does connect successfully, click on the access point and make a note of theIP address displayed (e.g. 192.168.4.1)
- Access the IP (e.g. 192.168.4.1) and click "Configure Wifi". From the list of available SSIDs (networks), select the appropraite wifi network and enter it's password. Then press "Save". The message "Saving Credentials Trying to connect ESP network..." should then be displayed.
- Access the wifi network router and look for the Si-CAM device name as originally provided with the device (e.g. "esp32s3-e657a2"). Click on this device and make note of the IP address. This is the Si-CAM's IP address.
- Enter the Si-CAM IP address into a web browser to access the Si-CAM's web app to configure settings, etc.
- Be aware that the Si-CAM IP address may change from time-to-time. Therefore if your are unable to access the Si-CAM's web app then (as before) access the wifi network router again and look for the Si-CAM device name and click on this device and determine the IP address. The IP address may now be different.
